After receiving her B.S. degree from The American University in Washington, DC, Terry began her financial services career specializing in the design, implementation and funding management of Defined Benefit pension plans. For over 25 years, she has devoted her practice to providing innovative solutions to qualified and non-qualified retirement plan needs. In addition to her extensive investment experience, Terry provides her clients cutting edge fiduciary and compliance information on legislative, case law and regulatory changes. Prior to joining Plan Sponsor Consultants, Terry developed her own retirement plan consulting practice in the Mid-Atlantic area. Previously, Terry was a Regional Sales Director for several national financial services organizations, assisting consultants and brokers in the design, implementation & service of employer pension plans.
Terry has received the coveted Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) from the Wharton School at Penn. In addition, Terry holds the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation conferred by the American College in Bryn Mawr, which has long term relationship with Penn. Terry is one of the very few individuals, internationally, who are an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA). An AIFA designation, through the Katz Graduate School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh, signifies specialized knowledge of fiduciary knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of care.
Through her affiliation with Plan Sponsor Consultants and LPL Financial, Terry offers her clients a unique employee benefit: financial wellness. Financial Wellness targets employee financial stress with analytical tools and customized education solutions. Recognized for her expertise, Terry sits on the Worksite Financial Solutions steering committee of LPL Retirement Partners, the retirement plan focused division of LPL Financial.
Terry is married and lives in Brookeville, MD with her husband Quinn. When she is not working with clients, Terry donates her time with the Rotary Club of Olney, Maryland and participates in Foxhunting and Golf.
